Las Vegas has been known by several names throughout the years. Sin City, Gambling Capital of the World, Glitter Gulch, Entertainment Capital of the World, City of Lights just to name a few. The Cannabis Buzz that has started the Green Rush coming to Nevada, the Silver State; a new nickname is being touted: New Amsterdam. After all, the Recreational Marijuana Market is coming to town. For some reason Jackson Five’s “Santa Claus is coming to Town” is playing in my head in tandem as my fingers strike these computer keys. Random! Nah, just a little jubilation as I think of what is ahead for the Las Vegas’ Cannabis community this summer. As of now the Recreational market in Nevada should go live in less than 4 months, ETA is July 2017.
That being said, Las Vegas Dispensaries have popped up all over the city in anticipation of catering to needs of the Medical Marijuana and Recreational Marijuana markets. There’s up to sixty Dispensaries currently located throughout the City, with the expectation of many more to come. It will soon become quite easy for the Las Vegas cannabis community to access the best of cannabis that Vegas has to offer. I am sure that there will soon be more marijuana friendly locales opening in the near future. It certainly wouldn’t be a stretch to imagine Canna Cafes and Canna Lounges adjacent to the Dispensaries. Ganja lovers sitting on patios enjoying baked goodies, thirst quenching Cannabis Cup drinks (If you don’t know about this, you better Google it for the recipe!) and all while Bob Marley plays in the background. That’s that Las Vegas Hemp Life! Or it would be if it actually manifests.
Las Vegas currently has an average of 43 million visitors per year, and I expect that to increase as well within the next couple of years. If you plan on visiting Las Vegas/New Amsterdam in the future and plan on being a part of the Green Rush, book a Signature CannaBus Tour! Let us be your partner while you explore what our memorable city has to offer. Just remember if you visit before July, medical cards will apply. Hope to see you riding with us soon!
The CannaBus made its debut during the HighTimes Cannabis Cup weekend held March 4th- 5th in Las Vegas, NV and kicked off their specialty dispensary run tours. The weekend commenced with overcast clouds and wind gusts up to 18 miles per hour (Mother Nature’s way of telling you the CannaBus will be blowing through these Sin City streets, or so we’d like to think) and a city filled with people with high hopes. The Cannabis Cup is in town and the medical marijuana community is excited and looking forward to celebrating and partaking in various Cannabis related events.
Hopes were dashed when it was realized that the Cannabis Cup was a dry one. Meaning, you could go to the Cup and celebrate all things cannabis related, however you could not consume any medical marijuana. Whaaa’?? Cannabis Cup with no Cannabis?? You heard right, no need to reach for Q-tips. Lose the Scooby Doo look of confusion. No smoking, no vaping, no edibles, no nada, zilch! Just you and the mutual enthusiasts and music/entertainers coming together, swaying in harmony. Not quite what was expected by the mass of people attending; it was also shut down on Day 2.
Nevertheless, CannaBus was able to blow some of the disappointment away by doing dispensary runs throughout the weekend. We were able to take some of the disappointed medicinal patients to our partners, Jardin Premium Dispensary and Euphoria Wellness. There, they were able to able to indulge in all the sights and smells; tantalizing and invigorating their senses. Awakening and stimulating their pleasure sensors and at the same time, satisfying their medicinal needs. Swag bags filled with cannabis related goodies and a customized discount for CannaBus clients rounds out this specialized tour. We are pleased the clients that rode with us, over the Cannabis Cup weekend, had a blast. Thank for you supporting and riding with the CannaBus… we will definitely be seeing you around town.
